RODDI E LA POESIA

Dal novembre 2010 Roddi è stato chiamato “un paese per la poesia”.
Dal 1996 ogni anno si tiene un concorso di poesia, gestito dall’Associazione culturale “Premio Roddi”.
Nel 2011 è stato inaugurato il “Path of Poetry”, un percorso all’interno del centro storico in cui è possibile esporre poesie di autori premiati nel concorso. Ci sono quattordici vetrine per l’esposizione di testi poetici.
L’associazione Culturale “Premio Roddi” ha come scopo primario la cura, l’allestimento e lo svolgimento dell’annuale Concorso di Poesia giunto nel 2022 alla XXVII edizione.
Il Concorso si è evoluto, nel corso degli anni, cambiando di anno in anno, a volte con l’aggiunta di premi speciali, altre volte con veri e propri interventi di accrescimento quali il “Premio Alba Beccaria” riservato ai giovani e suddiviso nelle sezioni bambini, ragazzi e giovani.
Nel 2000, si è arricchito dei testi in lingua piemontese e dal 2010 ha accolto anche le poesie nelle lingue minoritarie del Piemonte. Questo per coinvolgere nell’iniziativa un maggior numero di persone legate al territorio per cultura e lingua senza peraltro alterare quei principi fondamentali di formazione personale e culturale che sin dall’inizio lo hanno caratterizzato.
Nel corso degli anni l’Associazione Culturale “Premio Roddi” ha organizzato numerose manifestazioni come i recital di poesia, tenuti da noti poeti contemporanei quali Mariangela Gualtieri, Giuseppe Conte, Antonella Anedda, Vivian Lamarque, Roberta Dapunt, Maurizio Cucchi, Valeria Rossella per la poesia in lingua italiana.
Dal 2020 è stato istituito il Premio Testimoni di Bellezza, attributo ogni anno a personalità diverse.
Il Cammino della Poesia
A seguito della delibera del Consiglio Comunale di Roddi dell’11 novembre 2010 nella quale Roddi viene denominato “Il paese della poesia”, l’Associazione Culturale Premio Roddi decide di concretizzare l’idea astratta di paese dedicato alla poesia attraverso la realizzazione di in un vero e proprio percorso, denominato “Il Cammino della Poesia” che si snoda nelle vie del centro storico, a ridosso del castello.
Il Cammino, completato ed inaugurato nel 2012, è costituito da n. 14 bacheche in ferro, i testi delle quali sono sostituibili periodicamente, in occasioni di festività o manifestazioni.
Un corrimano, una sorta di fil-rouge composto da circa 500 lettere, accompagna il lettore nel suo cammino.

RODDI AND THE POETRY

Since November 2010, Roddi has been called ‘a town for poetry’.
A poetry competition has been held every year since 1996, managed by the ‘Roddi award’ cultural association.
In 2011, the ‘Path of Poetry’ was inaugurated, a path within the historic centre where poems by prize-winning authors in the competition can be exhibited. There are fourteen showcases for the display of poetic texts.
The ‘Roddi Award’ Cultural Association’s primary aim is to curate, set up and run the annual Poetry Competition, now in its 27th edition in 2022.
The Competition has evolved over the years, changing from year to year, at times with the addition of special prizes, at other times with real enhancements such as the ‘Alba Beccaria Prize’ reserved for young people and divided into the children, youth and young adults sections.
In 2000, it was enriched with texts in the Piedmontese language and since 2010 has also included poems in the minority languages of Piedmont. This was done in order to involve in the initiative a larger number of people linked to the territory by culture and language without altering those fundamental principles of personal and cultural education that have characterised it since the beginning.
Over the years, the ‘Roddi Award’ Cultural Association has organised numerous events such as poetry recitals, held by well-known contemporary poets such as Mariangela Gualtieri, Giuseppe Conte, Antonella Anedda, Vivian Lamarque, Roberta Dapunt, Maurizio Cucchi and Valeria Rossella for poetry in Italian.
Since 2020, the Award of Witnesses of Beauty has been awarded to different personalities each year.
The Poetry Walk
Following the Roddi Municipal Council resolution of 11 November 2010 in which Roddi was named ‘The Poetry Town’, the Roddi Award Cultural Association decided to realise the abstract idea of a town dedicated to poetry through the creation of an actual pathway, called ‘The Poetry Walk’, which winds through the streets of the old town centre, close to the castle.
The Walk, completed and inaugurated in 2012, consists of 14 iron notice boards, the texts of which can be replaced periodically, on festivities or events.
A handrail, a sort of fil-rouge composed of around 500 letters, accompanies the reader on his or her walk.

Some like poetry
